Who Even is this Guy?
Mike’s number one mission in life is to bring out the best in others. By learning their stories, helping them find their sparks, and being vulnerable, he builds connections and pushes people to their fullest potential. He pours himself into every interaction and relationship, from the walls of his school to the people he meets for a quick conversation.
He was a classroom teacher for eight years, during which he was a candidate for Central PA’s Impact Teacher of the Year and Philadelphia Phillies Teacher of Year nominee on multiple occasions. He helped his students find what made them excited about school and life by making strong, long lasting relationships. Mike decided to move into the administrative world in hopes of making a larger impact on education. After spending two years in the School District of Lancaster in Pennsylvania, he moved to Cumberland Valley School District. During his time as an administrator, Mike used his energy to create a culture of love and support for teachers, students, and families.
Throughout his journey, Mike began traveling for the International Institute for Restorative Practices, training staff in multiple cities throughout the United States. Since leaving his administrative position due to health reasons, he now works full time with the IIRP as an instructor and implementation coach. However, he still wants to share his love of education and its impact with all who can benefit.
When Mike is not working, he is writing his most recent passion project, screaming at his beloved Philadelphia sports teams, attempting to be a halfway decent golfer, or hanging out with his wife, Andrea, and their dog, Maverick.
